Education

Zhang Sah is proud to support its students’ learning and development outside the classroom and home.  At Zhang Sah, education broadly refers to a diverse category of programming that is available to families and individuals who are interested in developmentally appropriate recreational activities that promote learning and inquiry.  Education programs offered at Zhang Sah are designed to provide participants with a rewarding opportunity to enhance their social, intellectual, and physical potential through traditional martial arts practice and by participating in activities (i.e., projects requiring the use of math, science skills)  that require the use of various skills in a socially supportive environment.

For early learners

Education programming provides early learners with activities designed to support school readiness that offer opportunities to practice and crystallize communication, cooperation, and coordination skills outside the classroom.  Additionally, students participate in a reward system for successful efforts and not giving up or behaving destructively.

For K-12 students

Education programming at Zhang Sah compliments schools' academic curricula by providing guided opportunities for students to use what they have already learned and discover new ideas and interests.  Education programming provides students in grades K-12 with activities designed to support career and character development and physical education while offering opportunities to creatively apply and develop their acquired academic skills through participating in projects involving physical education, language arts, math, science, and Eastern world studies.  Education programs also offer effective complementary training for athletic teams.
